A popular gathering spot in Ripon is preparing to close its doors, as Ripon Social announced this week that its final day of service will be Easter Sunday, April 5, marking the end of its run as one of the city’s well-known dining and social destinations.
The announcement was shared directly with the community through the business’s social media, where the team described the decision as a difficult one made “with grateful, yet heavy hearts.” After serving the Ripon community for several years, the restaurant thanked customers, partners, and staff for their support and for helping create what they called a “special place” in the city.
Located within the Terrazza area, Ripon Social built a reputation as a modern dining and social venue, offering a mix of food, drinks, and events designed to bring the community together. The space frequently hosted live music, themed nights, and gatherings, becoming a go-to spot for both casual dining and celebrations in Ripon.
Despite the closure, there is optimism about what comes next for the location. According to the announcement, efforts are already underway to find a new operator to take over the space, with hopes that it will continue to serve as a central gathering place for the community.
“We’re looking forward to seeing a new team continue to provide an unforgettable gathering space for our Ripon community,” the business shared.
Ripon Social will remain open under regular business hours through its final week, giving customers one last opportunity to visit. Planned events will continue as scheduled, including Wine Wednesday with live music on April 1, live music on Friday, April 3, and Easter Sunday brunch on April 5, which will serve as the restaurant’s final day of service.
The business is also encouraging customers who have outstanding gift cards to use them before closing. Any unused balances after April 5 will still be honored at Cuts Steakhouse or Katana Sushi Bar in nearby Turlock.
In its message, the team expressed deep appreciation for the people who supported the restaurant over the years — from loyal regulars to first-time guests — as well as the staff who helped bring the concept to life.
“Most importantly, we couldn’t have done any of it without our incredible team, who dedicated their time and poured their hearts into every service, event, dish, and drink,” the statement read.
The closure serves as a reminder of the importance of supporting local businesses, something the Ripon Social team emphasized in their farewell message. They encouraged residents to continue showing support for small businesses throughout Ripon, including those within the Terrazza area and beyond.
As Ripon Social prepares to close this chapter, the focus now shifts to the future of the space and what new concept may take its place. For now, the community still has a few final days to stop in, enjoy a meal, and say goodbye to a local favorite that has played a meaningful role in Ripon’s dining scene.
