"We are excited to announce an expansion project to our campus, located at the corner of Main Street and Vera Avenue, this expansion called the Terraces at Bethany, will bring a new service level and amenities to the existing Bethany Home community." according to a press release. The project is being developed in partnership with senior living experts GSI, a consulting firm with a history of helping senior living communities plan for the future. With the goal of creating a sustainable community for the seniors of today and in the future, The Terraces at Bethany will add beautiful and functional indoor and outdoor amenities and expand the campus while providing 82 new residential living apartment homes that offer the ability to age in place with services. The Terraces at Bethany is expected to be ready for occupancy in the Spring of 2024.

Since our founding in 1963, Bethany Home was created by community leaders and area churches to provide a home for the seniors of the central valley and surrounding communities. For nearly 60 years, Bethany Home has honored and enriched the aging experience in a vibrant Christ-centered community and has grown to serve over 400 residents through their multiple levels of care which include skilled nursing, assisted living, memory care, independent living, in-home care, and adult day services.

“We saw a need to upgrade our current offerings to provide elegant, contemporary homes with additional amenities including culinary and wellness offerings. With the new addition also comes the peace of mind that our trusted care services are available if and when they are needed. Being able to age in place is a significant step forward in allowing a person continued dignity and independence,” says Cindy Scheublein, Executive Director at Bethany Home.

The architects behind the $50 million expansion, CallisonRTKL Inc., bring expertise in innovative design concepts that incorporate holistic approaches and nature into the overall design. CallisonRTKL seeks to take advantage of the great California outdoor climate as well as bring nature indoors with increased light and air, creating diverse opportunities for residents to enjoy outdoor living amenities and inviting landscaping.

The Terraces at Bethany will feature 25,000 square feet of common amenity space for the entire Bethany Home community to enjoy and includes an art studio, library, media room, lovely outdoor courtyards, and a large multipurpose room for performances, seminars, and worship services. In addition, The Terraces at Bethany will feature a wellness center complete with a fitness studio for classes and exercise equipment to provide residents with an inspiring and state-of-the-art space to pursue their wellness goals. A bistro/cafe and formal dining restaurant will also be available for residents to enjoy with family and friends.

Apartment homes will feature contemporary interiors with open-layouts, eat-in kitchens, full appliance packages, washer/dryer, controllable heat/air, walk-in closets, and balconies. Rental rates for the new residences are expected to begin at $2,260 per month for a studio, $3,230 for a one-bedroom, and $4,180 for a two-bedroom. The all-inclusive services will allow residents to age in place with 24-hour staffing, events, activities, 45-meals per month, and bi-weekly housekeeping. In-home care packages will be available at an additional fee.

"Much prayer and planning have gone into this development already and we will continue to seek God’s will and plan for Bethany Home as the work progresses.", says Bethany Home.
