Pastor Dood asked his flock to bring any tents they might have to provide cooling areas for other members of the church family. This is the second week in a row for the outside service. There will be two other online services that follow that church members can follow from home.

At 9:30 Ripon should be relatively cool compared to 4 p.m. which is usually the heat of the day.

A flatbed trailer is being used to support the pulpit and will be located in the church parking lot at 721 West Second Street just east of Vera Avenue in Ripon. Other Christian Reformed Churches in Southern California have also been setting up their church leadership in their parking lots.

It was Calvary that served hundreds of meals to Ripon residents during the beginning of the Pandemic attempting to feed the masses in the community. That charitable effort clogged the Ripon streets with motorists waiting for their box dinners.

St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Oakdale has announced it is celebrating weddings and funerals outside on the parish grounds. St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Manteca has scheduled an outdoor Mass at 9 a.m. asking parishioners to go online and make their reservations.
