COVID-19 Testing Comes to Ripon

Ripon Consolidated Fire District announced today that they are partnering with the San Joaquin

County Office of Emergency Services and HR Support to offer free COVID-19 testing.

The free testing event is scheduled for Friday, October 23rd, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. According to the flyer sent out by Ripon Fire District, residents can pre-register by using a QR Code on the flyer or by just showing up during the hours of the event. The flyer also states that the test is administered as a self-swab.

According to the San Joaquin County Office of Emergency Services, this one-day testing site will be able to test 7-10 cars per hour, including walk-ups with no vehicle. Officials also say that there will be a Spanish speaking interpreter as well as traffic control personnel.

Expect minor traffic delays around the downtown area as residents who are wanting to be tested will be entering the test site at E. Main St. and Nourse Ave. and testing will be taking place in the side parking lot of Ripon Fire District, along E. First St.
