Fall Brush Pick-Up Program

The City of Ripon announced that the Fall Brush Pick-Up Program is going on now through January 31st.

This program offers free brush pick up of leaves, tree and brush trimmings, and Christmas trees.

According to the Nixle sent out by the City, there are a few rules that must be followed, including:

  • Place loose yard trimmings and leaves in the street just outside the gutter- the gutter needs to remain clear for water runoff. No other waste of any kind shall be deposited among the prunings or leaves.

  • Branches should not be more than four feet long and six inches in diameter.

  • No tree stumps.

  • Do not bag or tie the trimmings.

  • Remove stands from Christmas trees.

  • No artificial trees.

It is not necessary to call City Hall to have your trimmings picked up as a special public works crew will pick up the trimmings each week as they check the neighborhoods according to the city. It is not a set route, so if the yard trimmings are not picked up one week, they will get it the next.
