Ripon Arts League to Open Curtain Again in September

The curtain came down on the Ripon Arts League performances this past year in fear of the Covid-19 virus but it will be reopening September 30 with “The Sun Kings” possibly with two showtimes at 5:30 and at 7:30 on that Thursday night in the Ripon High Multi-purpose auditorium.

The two shows will allow for spaced seating for its guests if necessary.

Other productions will be in November, February, March, and April and may also be doubled up on their showtimes pending CDC health suggestions.

“The Sun Kings” is considered by many to be one of the premier Beatles tribute acts in the country. “The Sun Kings” have amazed their fans and win over skeptics with their uncanny channeling and respect for the music they perform.

With a repertoire spanning the entire Beatles epoch, “The Sun Kings” shine in concert playing vintage instruments with spot-on arrangements and vocal harmonies delivered with driving energy, joy, and vitality that recall the earliest Fab Four performances.

Experience the concert. The Beatles never gave with songs spanning the years from Hamburg to Rooftop.

Other scheduled performances include “Shelley, Bill “n” Eddie” in November, “Highland Way” in March, and “Take 3” next April. There is one other performance yet to be announced.

“Shelley, Bill “n” Eddie” is filled with Dixieland, Swing, Variety, and Humor and is scheduled for November 4. It will include novelty tunes, ‘50s rock and roll, sing-alongs, Country Western, and non-stop musical camaraderie.

Its performers are from the former Sacramento Jazz Jubilee, with a virtuoso of banjo numbers.
