By City of Ripon, Nixle System
Starting April 28, 2020, the Ripon Recycling Center will be open for limited operations between the hours of 7:30 am to 1:00 pm on Tuesdays for residents with an even street address and Thursdays with an odd street address. The limited operations at this time will be for Ripon residents only. City staff will be evaluating the operation moving forward to explore the possibility of expanding this to businesses, commercial, and non-residents in the future. In order to comply with the Stay at Home Orders, the City of Ripon staff will be on-site to direct individuals to ensure all distancing requirements are maintained. The following are the rules that will be in place during the current Stay at Home Orders:
Enter at the northern driveway
Remain in your car until it is your turn to unload your recyclable material
Residential loads only, no businesses or commercial sized truck/loads at this time
Residents must unload all material into the proper container
The following are recyclables that are accepted at this time:
Cardboard must be clean and free of trash
TVs & Screens must be loaded directly into the container
Plastics, no changes
Glass, no changes
Mixed Paper, no changes
Newspaper, no changes
Styrofoam, not accepted at this time
CRV (Aluminum Cans and Plastic Bottles) not accepted at this time
Illegal dumping items at the Recycling Center outside of the posted hours of operation will result in a citation for violating the Ripon Municipal Code.
