media this morning. According to a social media post from the police department, at approximately 7:00 AM, members of the combined Manteca/Ripon SWAT team and Ripon Police Department led by the Ripon Investigations Division served a warrant on a residence in the 600 block of E. Main St.

During the warrant service one suspect, identified as Weicong Tan via a foreign passport, was taken into custody. Upon search of structures on the property Investigators located a Marijuana cultivation operation that was occurring. Approximately 1,577 Marijuana plants in various stages of maturity were located and seized, along with cultivation equipment.

After being transported and processed at the police department, Tan was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail on charges associated with the Marijuana grow and cultivation.
