Stolen Vehicle and Pursuit Ends in Arrest

On April 1, at 2:23 PM, Ripon Officers responded to the area of E. Frontage Rd. and Santos Ave. regarding a

stolen vehicle out of Tracy, which was detected by a license plate reader according to the department's Facebook page.

Officers located the vehicle at Hoff Dr. and W. Colony Rd. and attempted to make a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to yield and fled the area resulting in a pursuit. The pursuit was terminated due to the driver exhibiting reckless driving by traveling into oncoming traffic.

A short time later, Officers located the vehicle unoccupied in the area of De Pedrini Dr. and Coconut Ln. A perimeter was quickly established. The driver identified as Brandi Vogl, was located in the area and taken into custody. She was found to be in possession of an amount of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and stolen mail. She was also determined to be on parole. She will be booked into San Joaquin County Jail.
